Where do we stand ? #Cleanliness

"We reached Mars. No PM or Minister went. It was the people who did it, our scientists who did it. So can't we create a Clean India?" - Sh. Narendra Modi (Prime Minister Of India)
Health and hygiene being the primary issues of concern determining the growth index, health index, happiness index and several other such types of indexes, there is an urgent need of building up a strong public opinion and carrying out the proceedings and workings on it, by taking the very first on one’s own, without looking at others and waiting for others to take the initiative. It is essential that the best from all of us comes out.
# - Cleaning Marathon
“Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world”, said George Bernard Shaw. One of the most effective ways of  protecting ourselves and others from illness and other ailments is a clean environment and surroundings around us. Maintaining good personal hygiene is the first step to good health.
# - Health matters
Health education plays an important role in the community hygiene. To prevent illness and have positive health attitude, correct and complete knowledge of health is necessary. Health is cleanliness and cleanliness is one of the main defenses against diseases, whether contagious or self-generated. In this lesson we will discuss the actual meaning of health and hygiene, so that the aim of good health can be achieved through sanitary habits and healthy way of living.
# - Importance Of Sanitation
Access to improved water and sanitation facilities does not, on its own, necessarily lead to improved health. There is now very clear evidence showing the importance of hygienic behaviour, in particular hand-washing with soap at critical times: after defecating and before eating or preparing food, and at several other instances.
#Importance Of Hygiene
With the kind of health risks that are posed to the human race today, it has become vital to stay as hygienic as possible. In fact, most of the new-world diseases like bird flu and swine flu have been attributed to lack of hygiene. And if we fight lack of hygiene today, it will have good effects on the generation after us too.
Hygiene is a habit that needs to be focused on and inculcated in children at an early age. Maintaining hygiene around us ensures that they do not turn into breeding grounds for bacteria and viruses. And it need not be restricted to our bodies alone; it needs to be maintained in our surroundings as well.
Maintaining health, hygiene and sanitation standards is necessary for many reasons; personal, social, health, psychological or simply as a way of life. Keeping a good standard of hygiene helps to prevent the development and spread of infections, illnesses and bad odours.
